ATTENTION NEW SUBSCIBERS!

New subscribers might run into an issue once subscribed to my blog.

Subscribing is very easy. Simply include your email address in the subscription box on the HOME page. Once you've subscribed, you will receive a "Confirmation" email from Follow.it. When you've confirmed this, you're all set. That's it!

NOTE: If, however, Follow.it redirects you to fill out additional information, or anything else, PLEASE IGNORE IT!

Seeing this can be confusing and I apologize in advance, however you're still good to go.

So....don't let this dissuade you from missing out on interesting insights and monthly notifications.

THANK YOU FOR SUBSCRIBING!!!!!

Important Notice: Exciting Announcement

An announcement to my readers.

On my 'About Us' page, I announced a book project that has been in the works for quite some time.

I am thrilled that progress has been made, and I hope to announce the release soon. The road from there to here has been longer than I imagined. Because this is my debut novel, I wanted to ensure it was done right and a finished product I could be proud of.

The cover has been completed, and final edits are nearing completion. My author’s website has been created but has not been launched. When this happens, I’ll be sure to let you know.

A little about the book:

Miss Virginia and the Sweet Sisters © is a sensitive, honest, and raw account of life for a mixed-race girl growing up in the late 60s south. Intraracial bigotry is nothing new, but it is rarely addressed among the Black community. In this story, we experience this up close and personal, applauding a young girl’s courage and growth as she goes through terrifying events, coming out on the other side stronger and better for it, mimicking the social changes of the time. She is the harbinger of change, and therein lies her triumph.

I am very excited about this project. I hope you are as excited as I am to read my first published novel. Stay tuned for further developments.

Please read: New Subscription Notification Service

Subscription alert

Hello everyone! It's been a while, but I'm back with more content, posts, themes...you name it.

Since I've been gone there have been some changes to the blog. Some of these changes should be invisible to you, but one you can readily see: New Subscription Box (in red) on the Home page.

To all my subscribers:

I have a new email subscription service hosted by Follow.it*. Google no longer supports the previous email notification service, Feedburner, so I've chosen another as an alternative for those who have chosen to subscribe.

At this time you might have to reconfirm your email subscription, to receive notifications when a new post is published to the blog. If so, this process should be fairly easy and not as problematic as before. You might receive a message that has strange wording, but despite that it is legitimate:

You receive this email because publishers of feed weeklydamarie imported you to this list, claiming you were already subscribed to this content in other ways previously. Please confirm that this is correct and you want to receive this content by clicking here, or decline if you don't want to receive it.

Because Follow.it has replaced Feedburner for blog subscriptions, to avoid spam, it requires confirmation twice.

I hope you want to continue subscribing and if so, you have two ways to do this.

  • Click on confirm. You will then get an email asking you to reply. Please do. That is all you have to do. You are done.
  • Go to weeklydamarie.blogspot.com. Click on subscribe. Follow the same procedure.

I truly apologize if this is inconvenient, but I hope you continue to subscribe.

Thank you for subscribing. Please stay tuned for additional posts as we move through 2021.
